RESCUE COMPANY

Rescue 2818 is a Smeal Rescue/Engine with a Spartan cab.  It has a 500 gallon water tank, with a 1500 GPM Hale Pump.  The rescue is equipped to handle all types of assignments.  Aside from equipment for basic fire attack, such as preconected hose lines and numerous SCBA bottles, Scott Packs, Thermal Imaging Camera, Knox Box, and the Mobile Data Terminal (MDT).  It is also equipped with Genisis extrication equipment,  the "Jaws of Life" and cutters.  It also carries the companies confined space rescue team equipment.  This consists of, a Confined Space communications system, various harnesses, life safety rope, utility rope, rigging, and a tripod.   A Carbon Monoxide detector and a multi-gas meter can also be found on the truck as well.  The truck also carries a vast array of hand tools such as axes, pikes, sledges, and other small hand tools.  The truck also carries several ground ladders, as well as an attic ladder.  For marine operations and ice rescue operations, the rescue can tow Marine 28 and is also equipped with ice and water rescue suits, and an ice rescue sled.  To go with any type of rescue operation or EMS situation the truck is equipped with a Stokes basket, Reeves sleeve,  EMS jump bags, AED, as well as Oxygen cylinders.  The Rescue responds to all buildings, dwellings, alarm systems, fumes, CO alarms, vehicle fires, EMS assists, MVC's, and rescue assignments in the borough as well as mutual aid to Glassboro.
